How I stay motivated to workout and how you can too
I think sometimes the most difficult part of a workout is actually starting it. Am I right? Finding that motivation to start can be extremely difficult sometimes. I’ve been there.
I think the most important thing I can suggest for staying motivated to workout is making a time slot for your workout each day. Honestly, I’ve been more motivated to workout since having kids because I know if I don’t workout at a certain time then it won’t get done. So I highly suggest making a time of day for your workout each day.
I 100% of the time feel better after I workout. That is another way I stay motivated. I tell myself even if I don’t feel like starting, I will definitely feel better and be happy I accomplished it afterwards.
I also think it’s very helpful to have a friend or someone to motivate you as well! My mom is very into working out and when I’ve heard she’s completed a workout that day, it motivates me to get one done!
Also, is it just me or does a cute workout outfit get you excited to workout? I know it does for me! Shop my absolute favorite leggings and sports bra on amazon! They are buttery soft, high quality and affordable! I live in them!
The importance of having a workout plan in advance
Having a plan for your workout in advance is a game changer in my opinion. If you have a plan, you’ll waste less time trying to come up with what to do, and you’re more likely to stay motivated.
Having a plan also leads to a better and more efficient workout. If you don’t have a workout planned out then you probably will do a little bit and think it’s enough when maybe it wasn’t.
Planning a workout in advance can also keep it to a specific amount of time you have to workout. I don’t have countless hours to spend working out, I have 2 kids under 2! Planning my workouts out allow me to make them so efficient but also have them done in like 30 minutes!
I know working out can seem like a daunting, unattainable task sometimes. It doesn’t have to be though! Keep it simple, find things that keep you motivated, and have a plan ahead of time!
